Summary [Big city] To avoid a taxi war, city officials blame a gang bombing on driver Joe Benton's wife, Anna, which leads to her being deported. The mayor is speaker at a boxers' banquet where Joe pleads for them to go with him to the wharf and rescue Anna from the ship
[The emperor's candlesticks] Male Polish secret agent and female Russian secret police spy smuggle messages to Petersburg in candlesticks and while chasing after stolen candlesticks discover each other's identity and fall in love
