The article uses archaeology to examine the 1680 Pueblo Revolt and Pueblo warriors' subsequent facing a siege of their Black Mesa fort in northern New Mexico against Spanish soldiers in 1694. An overview of Pueblo peoples' relations with Spanish missions in New Mexico, including Pueblo warriors' attacking them during the Revolt, is provided.
