Old Cooperative House of Ranković Family is located in Draževac, a settlement in the territory of the city municipality of Obrenovac. The building is listed as a cultural monument.
Description
Old Cooperative House of Ranković Family in Draževac is typical of houses built in Šumadija and central Serbia. It is a rural cooperative house built by a wealthy family in the first half of the 19th century.
Description
The house has a square foundation of 15 x 15 m, built using oak beams placed upon a stone base. The walls are brick and rubble construction and the roof is tiled. The front porch is deep with a four-arch arcade, and is protected by a wooden half-wall added later. Inside, four rooms are arranged around a central hall. The windows are aligned in a marked horizontal pattern. The large roof eaves are artistically designed.
The house was moved to its present location near the primary school in Draževac in the 1980s.

The process of social fermentation and stratification in Serbia, which was particularly intensive in the first half of the nineteenth century, brought about a layer of rich people who were financially capable of investing in the first important and valuable specimen of residential architecture. Founded on the old Balkan architectural traditions, the nineteenth rural houses in greater Belgrade used some elements of this architecture, but also introduced novelties in building materials, spatial arrangement and the treatment of details. Designed in this fashion, rural houses, such as the Ranković family house, acquired monumental qualities and provided a specific visual aesthetic experience.
The post and petrail structure is supported by thick oak beams over split stone slabs. Wall filings are mud, timber rafters and beams on the roof are covered with mission tiles. A wide central porch is framed with arches, and a wooden railing was added later on. One can generally say that the old Ranković family cooperative house in Draževac reflects in its functional features, the applied structure, architectural design and visual elements the highest ambitions of the leading social stratum, at the time when it was fully asserted in the political and cultural life of Serbia.
The Ranković family house was relocated in the early 1980s from its original setting at the outskirts of the village to the school zard in Draževac.
Процес раслојавања и социјалних превирања у Србији, нарочито интензиван у првој половини XIX века, условио је формирање имућног слоја, који је располагао материјалним могућностима за градњу прве значајне и вредне стамбене архитектуре. Базирана на традицијама старе балканске архитектуре, сеоска кућа XIX века и на београдском подручју, користећи основне елементе ове, уноси новине у погледу грађевинских материјала, просторног распореда и обраде детаља. Тако формирана сеоска кућа достиже, као што је случај са породичном кућом Ранковића, изванредну монументалност и представља у ликовном смислу одређен естетски доживљај. Кућа је бондручне конструкције постављене на дебеле храстове греде на ломљеном камени. Зидни испуни су од чатме, кровна конструкција је од дрвених рогова и греда, а покривач од ћерамиде. Дубок централни трем затворен је споља лучним аркадама и касније додатом дрвеном оградом. У целини посматрано Стара задружна кућа Ранковића у Дражевцу одражава у погледу функционалности, примењене конструкције, архитектонског обликовања и ликовне обраде највиша стремљења водећег друштвеног слоја у време његове пуне афирмације у политичком и културном животу Србије.
Кућа породице Ранковић је почетком осамдесетих година прошлог века премештена са првобитне локације на крају села у двориште основне школе у Дражевцу.
