The 3rd Maryland Volunteer Infantry Regiment was an infantry regiment that served in the Union Army during the American Civil War.

The 3rd Maryland Infantry was organized at Baltimore and Williamsport, Maryland, beginning June 18, 1861 for a three year enlistment under the command of Colonel John C. McConnell.

A researcher e-mailed me regarding the 2nd Maryland's participation in the April
19, 1862 Battle at Camden (South Mills). Upon reviewing the battle reports
submitted by the participants, I can find no record of the 2nd Maryland being
involved in this fight. If anyone has additional information, please let me
