Rasmus Kloster Bro

Rasmus Kloster Bro is a director and screenwriter known for award-winning works such as Cutterhead (2019) and Barvalo (2012). Rasmus' distinctive, collaborative approach to filmmaking explores themes of cultural identity, privilege, and human relationships through the lens of genre cinema. His productions often involve entire communities in the filmmaking process, lending them a strong sense of authenticity while pushing the boundaries of cinematic form. Primarily working in fiction, he has also co-directed a documentary. His diverse career spans video art, radio drama, commercials, music videos, and work as an assistant director on the acclaimed Danish series Borgen. Between productions, Rasmus engages in artistic research and teaches at the National Danish Film School, where he also leads the experimental Laboratory for Film Languages.
