The Bandit King

There is some pretty good action and detail in this very short western feature by "Broncho Billy" Anderson, and it is worth seeing even though the surviving print seems to be in pretty bad shape. There is enough to tell the story, and to provide a good idea of what might have gone into making it originally.

The short story-line concerns the hunt for a notorious "Bandit King", and there are several short sequences in quick succession that tell the story. Even though it looks as if some of the footage is now missing, there is plenty of action, and it was probably a pretty good story at one time.

There is also some good detail visible in the scenes and backgrounds, much of which you can still see even though much of the footage is now blurry or marred. It's too bad that it has deteriorated so much, but enough of it still exists to make it worth seeing.
